Lets start the New Year with positive camping vibes! Join us as we enjoy the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry's beautiful outdoor paradise that in Alexander State Forest. 

We don't often experience cold weather, so lets challenge ourselves on a two-night, cold weather, primitive camping adventure.  Pack warm as we "rough it" around the campfire before hitting the trails for birdwatching.  Stay back and learn some campfire cooking skills.  Bring a fishing pole to catch supper.  Bring or rent a kayak to explore the lake.  Recline on the bank of the lake for some stargazing.  The possibilities are endless at this unique camping spot.
