LGBT+ Outdoorfest 2024 was an incredible success, drawing people from all across the U.S. and even internationally to Colorado from September 12th-15th. The event featured enriching workshops, exciting activities, and an amazing sense of community, with everyone coming together to form one big family. LGBT+ Outdoorfest is more than just an event—it’s a vital space for building an inclusive, supportive community of outdoor enthusiasts who feel seen, safe, and valued. It’s a place where strangers quickly become friends and adventure partners, creating bonds that last well beyond the weekend. Through engaging workshops and outdoor activities, participants not only gain new skills but also the confidence to explore the outdoors freely. Most importantly, LGBT+ Outdoorfest fosters a sense of belonging, ensuring that everyone feels welcome and embraced in nature.

Get Involved

If you’re passionate about getting involved, we’re looking for LGBTQ+ individuals to lead workshops and serve on our planning committee. Our workshop instructors are outdoor enthusiasts who are eager to share their knowledge and skills related to outdoor activities with others. Instructors are required to teach their workshops at least twice during the event and stay from start to finish to be available to attendees.

We’re also seeking dedicated volunteers for our LGBT+ Outdoorfest Committee, which plays a crucial role in event planning, marketing, and securing sponsorships—key areas that ensure the festival’s success.
