Wilderness Survival 2 is the second of a 4-part training series through Owl Eye Wilderness. Dates and descriptions for each training are below, and more information can be found at https://www.owleyeswilderness.com/classes

REGISTRATION AND SCHEDULE

You MUST register and pay for Wilderness Survival 2 through Owl Eye Wilderness' Eventbrite page (https://www.owleyeswilderness.com/calendar) in addition to registering through LGBTQ Outdoors. If you took Wilderness Survival 1 and are interested in taking the rest of the series, the cost of Wilderness Survival 1 can be applied to a Wilderness Survival Package 1-4.

Participants MUST take Wilderness Survival 1 before Wilderness Survival 2-4.

All trainings are outdoors in Townsend, MA from 9a-3p.
May 17 - Wilderness Survival 1 - Introduction to Nature
May 18 - Wilderness Survival 2 - Deepening Connections
June 21 - Wilderness Survival 3 - Understanding the Land
June 22 - Wilderness Survival 4 - Becoming Wild

May 18: WILDERNESS SURVIVAL 2 - DEEPENING CONNECTIONS

Deepen your connections in this earth based survival class. These intermediate level skills will prepare you for unexpected situations. Foundational skills for hikers, backpackers, hunters, trail runners, or anyone wishing to enjoy the outdoors. Wilderness Survival 2 prepares you with outdoor survival and bushcraft skills that will build your confidence, expand your knowledge, and deepen your connection to nature.

Wilderness Survival 2 can be taken after successful completion of Wilderness Survival 1. Students who finish Wilderness Survival 2 & 3 will have met the prerequisites to take Wilderness Survival 4.


SKILLS COVERED:
- Saw Use/Safety
- Fire Building with the Bow Drill
- 2 Useful Knots
- Debris Shelters or Snow Shelters
- Figure 4 Deadfall Trap for Small Game
- Boiling Water with Natural Containers
- Solar & Lunar Navigation
