BRODIE MECHE
HE /Him
Baton Rouge, LA
My name is Brodie. I grew up enjoying the great outdoors of southern Louisiana. I graduated form the University of Louisiana - Lafayette with a degree in Biology. I enjoy the outdoors and the water so much, that I've made a career out of it. After 10 years as a marine biologist, I switched gears to become an environmental scientist. Being outdoors is a form of therapy for me. I make sure to break out the hiking gear and tent when I feel like I need a reset. I am a self-taught and practiced primitive survivalist after becoming a Boulder Outdoor Survival School Alumni spending a week hiking 75+ miles through the desert of Utah's Dixie National Forest with only the clothes and gear on my back. Primitive camping and foraging for edible plants and mushrooms is my passion, but I also enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and boating. Certifications include Louisiana Fur Trapper, Wetland Delineator, and Crossfit L1 Trainer. I am grateful to join the program and look forward to sharing knowledge and learning from the group in a safe space!
