Join us for a lovely fall hike on the Old Salmon River Trail!

This trail parallels the Salmon River as it meanders through a lush, green forest. Being at a relatively low elevation on Mount Hood, fall colors will be popping! An out and back ~4-mile trail with very little elevation change and longer distance options, this route is well-suited for adventurers of all experience and ability levels.

The group will collectively decide if we'd like to eat lunch together at the Green Canyon Campground, which is the turn around point for the hike.

Event is full.

Silver Falls is the crown jewel of Oregon's state park system.

The Trail of Ten Falls is a fairly easy 7.5 mile hike that, as the name suggests, shows off ten different waterfalls! Especially cool, there are 4 falls that we will get to walk *behind* on our journey.

This trail is crowded during the summer months, but I am anticipating a much quieter, more peaceful amble through a winter wonderland.

This will be a slow ramble with plenty of opportunities to admire plants, animals, rocks and mushrooms.

I'll be there rain or shine, but let's keep an eye out for freezing weather and make sure to dress accordingly!
